Election Dates and Times

Notice

On April 15, 2024 the Rabun County Director of Elections will begin conducting the public Logic and Accuracy test involving the (ICX) BMD and printers’ units, polling place Scanner and E Poll Pads and all voting system components to be used in the Absentee precinct (Georgia DRE rule 183-1-12-.08) for the General Primary Election to be held on May 21, 2024. Also, on April 15, 2024 (Georgia DRE rule 183-1-12-.02; 183-1-12-.08) the Director of Elections will be beginning and conducting the public Logic and Accuracy test involving the (ICX) BMD and printers’ units, polling place Scanner, ICC Workstation and Central Scanner, E Poll Pads and all voting system components to be used on Election Day, General Primary Election to be held on May 21, 2024. On these days, preparation and testing will commence at 9:00 a.m. at Rabun County Board of Elections 184 S Main St., Suite 102 Clayton Ga. 30525 and shall continue until such preparation and testing is complete. NOTICE OF COMPUTATION & CANVASSING OF RETURNS

            Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the May 21, 2024 General Primary will take place by the Election Supervisor in the Rabun County Elections and Registrations office, 184 S. Main St., Suite 102 Clayton, Georgia on Wednesday May 22, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Notice of Early Processing of Absentee Ballots

Early processing of mail in absentee ballots will take place on May 13th, 2024. We will begin at 9am at the Rabun County Voting Center located at 184 South Main Street, Suite 102, Clayton, Ga.

Notice of Audit

An Audit of the General Primary will begin on May 30th 2024 at 184 South Main Street, Clayton, Georgia 30525 in the Rabun County Conference Center, Suite 135. This audit can be observed by the public from 10 AM to 5 PM until the audit is completed.  The deadline for completing the Audit is 5:00 PM on May 31st, 2024. 

Time Line for the May 21st, 2024 General Primary.

April 15th, 2024 - Logic and Accuracy testing to begin @ 9:00 am for the May 21st, 2024 General Primary.

April 29th, 2024- EARLY VOTING in person begins April 29th, 2024 and ends May 17th, 2024.  The hours for EARLY VOTING are 9 AM-5 PM. 

May 10th, 2024 is the last day to accept absentee ballot applications.   

May 21st, 2024  - Day of Election for General Primary.  7AM to 7PM.

May 22nd, 2024- Computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the May 21st, 2024 General Primary @ 10 AM.
